The core scenic area of Wulingyuan consists of Zhangjiajie Forest Park, Tianzishan Nature Reserve, Suoxiyu Nature Reserve, and Yangjiajie Nature Reserve.
Bailong Sky Elevator
The magnificent Bailong Sky Elevator has a vertical height difference of 335 meters and a running height of 326 meters. The elevator adopts three double-layer fully exposed sightseeing side-by-side and split operation. It was included in the Guinness Book of World Records with the honor of “The Highest Outdoor Elevator,” which is a perfect combination of natural beauty and manufactured wonders.
Yuanjiajie
You can take the Bailong Ladder to the ‘Greatest Bridge in the World’ and ‘Ecstasy Platform’ in Yuanjiajie. The ‘Greatest Bridge in the World’ refers to a ‘bridge’ formed naturally between two mountain peaks, not an artificial bridge. ‘Ecstasy Platform’ will take you to the prototype of Mount Hallelujah in the ‘Floating Planet’ of the movie Avatar. Tianmen Mountain is the highest mountain in Zhangjiajie, named after the natural wonder Tianmen Cave. The Tianmen Cave runs across from the north to the south. The gate is 131.5 meters high, 57 meters wide, and 60 meters deep. It is like a gateway to the sky. The top of the mountain is relatively flat, with a complete virgin forest preserved, with many extremely precious and unique plant species, a forest coverage rate of 90%. People hailed it as the world’s most beautiful sky garden and heavenly wonderland.
Tianmen Mountain Ropeway and Avenue to the Sky
Tianmenshan ropeway is 7,455 meters in oblique length and 1,279 meters in horizontal height difference between upper and lower stations. It is the longest single-line circular ropeway in the world.
Tianmen Cave is the gateway to the sky in people’s hearts, and the winding mountain road leading to Tianmen Cave is also called “Avenue to the Sky.” The “Avenue to the Sly” has reached the foot of Tianmen Cave, with a total length of 10.77 kilometers and 99 bends. In such a short distance, its altitude has risen sharply from 200 meters to 1,300 meters. There are thousands of cliffs on both sides of the avenue, and the valley is deep. Many bends turn 180 degrees sharply, which can be called “the world’s first highway wonder.”
